Yule Be Moving Into the New Year in Style 🎄🚚

As 2024 packs itself into the truck and heads off to the magical world of forgotten time, AKA Docklands, we want to take a moment to lift your spirits and thank you for being the absolute movers and shakers behind everything we’ve achieved this year.
Liftos™, the God of moving, hopes your Christmas was filled with tree-mendous joy, plenty of festive wrap battles, and no heavy lifting unless it was a forkful of pudding 🎁🍴
As for the New Year, let’s roll in like a dolly with fresh wheels - ready to load up on even more success and unpack new opportunities in 2025 as Melbourne's premier Lifestyle Relocation Specialists.
Stay safe, have a haul of a good time, and don’t let the Grinch box you in!
Thanks for being the most moving part of Man With A Van.
Let's toast to a summer of fun and hope for a busy year ahead! Praise Liftos™
Crew Of The Weeks

This issue we celebrate the return of the King. 👑
Dynamic Duo Alex Wong along with fresh face to the moving game, Damon Baudin take home the final COTW for 2024.
"Excellent time management skills, amazing efficiency - thought carefully about the placement of the furniture going into the truck. The two young men were wonderful. They worked very hard on a very hot day. They were cheerful and checked with me regarding everything. They very carefully navigated a very tricky staircase. They are a credit to your company. For the record I am not their aunt! It is genuine feedback."
Nice work you two, come catch Jack Tandy around the depot to collect your reward.

Team Work Makes Dreams Work

1. Keep the back of the truck neat.
2. Charge the EFTPOS terminal.
3. Take the phone out of the truck and charge it so tomorrow's movers can use it.
You can be a great teammate by doing the basics. Please don't set tomorrow's movers up for sadness; they will love you for it.
The Damage

Damage Reports Submitted - 20 🌶️
Claims Without Damage Reports - 0 😇
A fairly spicy result on the damage numbers though excellent work on submitting those damage reports.
The Vibe

A strong showing on the vibe this issue with an absolute landslide of 5 star surveys. Nice work on bringing the holiday cheer everyone, here's to a vibe filled 2024.
Suggestion Box

Suggestion: There is definitely an air among lifters that management is against them. The issue is when a road (worker) calls for help some of the time they are instantly put in the firing line which makes other road (workers) less inclined to call for help or advice. I would like efforts in better cohesion so both teams can work together and help maintain great customer satisfaction. It sometimes feels like MWAV is split in two teams where it is just one. Also, I really enjoy the MWAV newsletter for its information and memes. Thank you.
Response: Thanks for the shout out and the heads up. This scribe would like to reiterate your sentiment that we are indeed one company with the end goal of superior customer service and satisfaction in mind. When things go wrong, the management team absolutely has the back of staff but when staff go outside the limits of best practice, it's always a learning opportunity. This should always be performed in a respectful manner as we are all human beings belonging to the same team.
Suggestion: Why do some suggestions make into the newsletter and others don’t?
Response: Whilst this isn't a suggestion, this scribe is happy to answer. The criteria for suggestions to be published in the newsletter is that they must be suggestions to make MWAV a better place to work. The initial idea behind this section of The Message was to provide an anonymous space to flesh out ideas that one wouldn't feel comfortable expressing to a manager in person. This isn't a letters-to-the-editor back & forth to provide running commentary, nor will inflammatory and or abusive suggestions be published. I hope that answers your question; please keep the suggestions coming.
