Crew Of The Weeks

Sam "Buckets" Buckley
Ben "Cox" Cox

Sam "Buckets" Buckley and Ben "Cox" Cox really set the bar for future customer expectations at an unprecedented high this fortnight with this white-hot 5 star google review.

"If you ever need a lift (literally and figuratively), look no further than Buckets and Ben from Man With A Van! These two are like a dynamic duo of moving magic. They swooped in this morning, ready to tackle my mountain of boxes with smiles that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. From the moment they arrived, their energy was contagious! They were not only punctual but also incredibly efficient. Buckets handled the heavy lifting like a pro, while Ben was the mastermind behind the operation, directing traffic and ensuring everything went smoothly.

It felt like I had my own personal moving team who could lift my spirits as easily as they lifted my furniture! They treated my belongings with the utmost care and respect, making sure everything was packed securely and transported safely. Plus, their banter made the whole experience enjoyable—who knew moving could be this much fun?If you want an stress-free moving day filled with laughter and exceptional service, Buckets and Ben are your guys. Thank you for making my move a breeze! Highly recommend these legends!"

Congratulations you toe. Seek out Jack Tandy for your just reward if he doesn't find you first.

Mix it up

It is time to make a new friend.

Here at Man With A Van, we are proud of our diverse crew and want everyone to feel included and valued. To keep things fair and cohesive, we are encouraging everyone to mix it up and work with different teammates. Here’s why:

Sharing Skills

Working with new people helps us all learn and grow.

Building Respect

Teaming up with a variety of people fosters understanding and tolerance.

Keeping It Fair

Rotating teams ensures everyone gets equal opportunities and treatment.

Inclusivity

Everyone deserves to feel welcome and part of the bigger picture. With this in mind we will only be considering truck allocation changes in serious circumstances. If there’s something concerning going on between yourself and a team mate, please reach out. Your safety is our first priority.

Don’t forget, you can earn a Golden Ticket to enjoy a day with your BFF by sharing champagne video content on Moving McMoveface.

Golf Day

“Success in golf depends less on strength of body than upon strength of mind and character.” - Arnold Palmer

MWAV Golf Day is fast approaching. Sunday, 8 December in fact.

If you would love to get down on all fours deep in the woods looking for your lucky ball with the other straight shooters of MWAV, register your interest right now: https://forms.gle/vc5K5hy5g5xCRv7Y7

Get a case of the Mondays

"I was looking for the pancakes." - Jake Joyce

We're still not quite as busy as we'd like to be, but we are still understaffed on Mondays & Fridays. Make yourself available these days to fill out the week in case a cancellation should befall you mid week or Saturday.

Did we mention that pancakes and BBQ are on these respective days?

Who pays for parking?

Add it to the bill.

Parked illegally? Customer happy to accept a potential fine? Great news, why not celebrate the occasion by jotting it down in the job notes?

In the event we do receive a parking fine and the customer conveniently "forgets" about your conversation, it's very easy to jog their memory with a nice dated note. Without this note, it can be very difficult to prove this conversation took place and can result in you copping the cost of the fine.

Add The Overtime

Get the office to calculate and add it to the invoice.

Reminder - If your job will go over 8 hours (travel charges included) or 6pm, you MUST call the office to add the overtime and get a credit card on file.

End of Job Site Check

Where the heck did I leave my tool kit?

Once you have finished at each address, be sure to accompany your customer in doing the lap of the premises to check you haven't left any equipment behind. Cones, straps, trolleys, dolly, tool kits, brooms, elastic bands, blankets, your partner, and the EFTPOS terminal just to name a few.

The Damage

Thursday, November 14th - Wednesday, November 27th

Damage Reports Submitted - 18 😓

Claims Without Damage Reports - 1

A relatively spicy fortnight on the damage front, plenty of reports coming through, some more gnarly than others. Remember to take it slow and steady with fragile items as the busy season picks up.

The Vibe

Thursday, November 14th - Wednesday, November 27th

An odd spread on the surveys this issue resulting in an overall solid 4.8 average. A handful of stinkers bring the vibe down somewhat but the positive vibes can't be kept down.

Gig Guide

Liam Stewart is Slimungus & Steffen Pellegrini is Z.OO.T

Off the back of our last event, we thought it would only make sense to ease our way into summer with a night of good music and company.

On December 13th, we will be taking over @workshopbar this time from 8pm until 2am to enjoy one of nicest spaces that Melbourne has to offer.

Our lineup is stronger than ever so expect to hear an energetic mix of house, prog, garage, breakbeat and more as the soundtrack for the evening.

We can’t wait to see everyone on the dance-floor for our last event for the year and to take full advantage of what A Night With OGE has to offer.
