Crew Of The Weeks
No real surprise with this edition's COTW. Dossy and Micah's customer feedback only strengthens their case as one of the most trusted and sought after power couple in the game.

10,000 hours
"In his 2008 book “Outliers,” Malcolm Gladwell wrote that “ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.” The meaning behind this, in theory, is simple. To be considered elite and truly experienced within a certain craft, you must practice it for ten thousand hours."
Recently, one of Man With A Van’s Senior Citizens, a verified Legend, and one of the moving GOATs, Rafael “Flecha” Okada, clocked up 10,000 hours of moving. This is a milestone of mind bending significance, completed over 3500+ moves and 12 long years. It is more than 2,200 hours ahead of our next most experienced mover. This puts Raf in a class of his own.
So next time you see him, shake his hand and congratulate him on his work, and recognise you’re in the company of greatness. We take our hat off to you Raf - you are amazing. Thanks for being part of our crew and bestowing your knowledge so effortlessly to those around you. 10k baby!
Truck Damage
We have had a glut of unreported truck damage recently.
This is very sad for the trucks and bad for the crews who drive them.
Richie needs to know about all damage and close scrapes so he can have the truck in ship shape condition for the next crew to use it.
He has no interest in ripping you a new one, he only cares for the truck and keeping them ship-shape so you don't have to deal with a leaking roof whilst you stack your best Tetris™ pack.
TLDR: If you damage or notice damage to the trucks, you must tell Richie ASAP so he can fix them.
Poker Night
As part of an attempt to put the cult back in cultivating a vibe, The Man is hosting a poker night in the ABBOTSFORD depot this Tuesday night from 6:30pm.
There is a $20 buy in (cash only) and The Man will provide the cards, chips, a few pizzas, beers, and tunes to enjoy. Winner takes all - The more the merrier.
We're hoping to make this a regular event which we would like to extend to a full blown games night to be incorporated to the wider trivia nights and other shenanigans in the future.

Photos are being captured and printed onto a polaroid which will soon be erected on a giant board near where people can see it - most likely the sign on computer.

21 total incidences of damage including 3 of which were unreported during the move.

Pretty good, the trio of three-star surveys pulled down the average but overall it has been a fortunate fortnight.
EFTPOS
Please take care of the EFTPOS terminals. They cost many many many monies to replace.
Dropping them or leaving them out in the rain will kill them irreparably.
Keep them safe in the cab of the truck until you need them to take payment.
When to report it
When damage occurs on the job, you must lodge the damage report BEFORE you take payment and talk to the office.
We can't offer a discount if the payment has already been taken and this makes the customer sad. You know what I mean?

Suggestion: With the warm weather fast approaching, there’s nothing like a delicious and refreshing Zooper Dooper™ after a long day at the long day factory. Please bring them back in the freezer for summer !!!!
Response: 100% There are already a few in the freezer now and will only grow in numbers as the mercury rises.
