New Anonymous Reporting System

A way to report inappropriate language and behaviour from customers, coworkers or management. The D&I Committee wants to empower you to report inappropriate language and behaviour.
We are dedicated to creating a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
If you are witness to inappropriate language or behaviour out on the road or in the depot, here are three things you can do:
Call it out and shut it down!
This can look different from person to person, but if you don't want to let it slide, tell them to stop or change the subject.
Report it to management!
When you get back to the depot, jump into the office to report the issue.
If a coworker has said it once, they will likely say it again.
Make management aware of the incident so they can follow it up appropriately and ensure it doesn't happen again.
Report it anonymously!
You might not feel comfortable calling out your coworker and you might not want to name names.
That doesn't mean it should be left unmentioned!
Report the incident anonymously via the link.
Go to: https://tny.mwav.org/cooked
Or scan the QR code on the screen
Management and the D&I committee will be reviewing all reports. We encourage you to address any issues that come up, please help us in fostering a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
Crew Of The Weeks

This issue's COTW goes to the conquerers of the nightmare.
"Professional with a fantastic work ethic. The boys got stuck in immediately at our 3 story townhouse, tackling nightmare thin staircases with no complaints. Couldn’t resist giving them a tip as a reward for their efforts - they finished an hour under the estimated time which saved us some coin. 100% would recommend their services."
Great work team, come have a chat with Jack Tandy around the depot to collect your reward.

Red Light Green Light

Traffic lights have made their debut at the Abbotsford depot.
You can only enter the depot when the light is green. If the light is red, you must stop and wait.
This is to protect the very expensive roller doors from being hit.
Offsiders must not loiter in the threshold of the roller door otherwise it may trigger the door to close prematurely.
"Failing to obey traffic lights, both red-light and red-light arrow, incurs a penalty of $494 and 3 demerit points." - Victorian Govt.
Should we impose the same penalties here?

Bump It Up

When you park a truck in the walkway, you must drive all the way up until you hit the bump stop. Otherwise, whichever truck parks behind you will be sticking out into the driveway.
Ring-a-ding-ding, you've got the king

Be a great teammate by keeping the work phone on you.
Answer it when it rings and you will have a friend for life.

The Damage

Damage Reports Submitted - 13
Claims Without Damage Reports - 4
Damage numbers are down this issue though quite a few instances of unreported damage. Please make sure to submit a damage report when anything gets damaged, no matter how big or small.
The Vibe

Bit of a bummer on the vibe front this fortnight, some less-than-ideal reviews bring the average down to the low .7s. The only way to go is up so here's to a more positive vibe next issue!
Suggestion Box

Suggestion: Can we partner with Green Fleet™ again?
Response: MWAV partnered with Greenfleet™ for many many years as a way to offset carbon emissions. Economic constraints during the COVID pandemic forced MWAV to pull back their support which is yet to be reinstated. A response from the chief environmental officer was not secured by the publishing deadline.
