Crew of the Weeks

It's a definite sign of a quality move when a nervous customer is so confident in your abilities, they reconsider their position and ask you to move their more precious belongings. This pair of Relocation Rembrandts soothed each and every concern, scoring a well earned COTW.
Uniforms: I want one. They cool
Efficiency: Vince & Bailey were well drilled. Totally in sync. They had it goin' on! Poetry in motion. They packed the truck beautifully - a work of art.
Overall Comments: I was dreading my move. Vince and Bailey made it easy. So easy in fact I decided to move my record collection. Seeing how careful they were gave me confidence that my things would be safe in their hands. Cherry on the cake they beat the estimate. Thank you for making my move stress free.
Nicely done you two, come catch Jack Tandy around the depot to collect your reward.
New Depot Is here

As of Monday, 6 May, MWAV will be operating out of the Nelson St depot. There will be a grand opening from 6:30am with breakfast, juice, coffee, tunes, fanfare, and vibes on The Man! Praise Liftos™
New Depot Welcome

Welcome everyone to the new depot.
This depot has been built on the lands of the Wurundjeri People. We work, live and move on their traditional lands. We’re privileged to do this, and we give our respects to their Elders; now, past, and in the future. The road to reconciliation is long and we’ve got a long way to go, and acknowledging the Traditional Custodians and their connections to the land and community of Australia is a small, but important step.
The Man With A Van Super Depot Head Quarters, or “the new depot” as it has been misnomered for some time now, has been a long and tedious tale of inappropriate design, local bureaucratic lunacy, funding snafu’s and endless delays.
Commencing as a pipe dream in the early Tens, evolving into a series of architectural plans on A0 with lots of red markup, stalling as a new disease took hold (a bit like the flu, they said), and finishing with a building that almost meets most of our requirements.
And yet, despite every hurdle that has been put in its way, somehow, we’re here. So treat it like your own; treat it well; don’t crash into the bloody roller doors and have a great time. Cause we’re (finally) here to stay.
Welcome home.

Where can I smoke?
The designated smoking area is out the front of the depot along the north wall. No smoking or vaping allowed near the entrance door or on the deck
How do I get in?
Enter via front door. You will need your staff pin code and fob to enter prior to 6.30am or after 6pm. All other times the door will open using your fob. If in doubt, ring the doorbell.
Can I park in the depot?
Only if you are working a phones shift, in which case please park in Bays 1-4, or along the northern wall. All cars must be out of the depot before the last trucks return.
Are they really going to put a van on the roof?
Of course. See cover photo.
Is there an alarm?
There will be soon, and we’ll provide details once installed.
Truck Size Trouble

Take the correct size truck! You are always assigned a vehicle size for a reason, taking the wrong sized truck is a massive stitch up for the morning manager and the office team. The size of the vehicle you are assigned to is printed in the top right corner of your morning print out. Please pay attention to the vehicle size you are assigned to and don't go rogue by taking a vehicle you think will work the best for the jobs assigned to you, this is not acceptable.
Parking Pandemonium

With no less than 7 parking fines dealt out over the last month, Merri-Bek City Council's vendetta against Man With A Van has been well and truly noted. From no-standing zones to facing the opposite direction of travel, any excuse to sting us with a fine will do. Be extremely careful with how you park in the Brunswick/Coburg/Fawkner/Glenroy area and make sure to chat with the customer beforehand if you have to do a risky park.
The Damage

Damage Reports Submitted - 13
Claims Without Damage Reports - 2
Big improvements over last issue here with dramatically less damage report-less claims coming through. Thank you for filling out those reports and taking it slow and steady this fortnight.
The Vibe

Somewhat of a fall from grace this issue with a handful of negative surveys bringing down the overall vibe. Hopefully the hot streak makes a return next time around and we can ring in the new depot with the vibe riding high.
